    Members of the public are invited to address the District on any matter of interest to the public that is not on the agenda for a period of time not to exceed 3 minutes. Pursuant to the Brown Act, the District cannot discuss or take any action on items not listed on the posted agenda but may add to a future agenda matters brought up under public comments for appropriate action at a future meeting
  3. Consideration of an Operational Agreement with the USFS Plumas National Forest (PNF) for mutual assistance and occupancy of the Grizzly Road Fire Station (BPFPD Station #4).

    The Board will consider an agreement which provides mutual response, establishing PNF-BPFPD mutual threat zones (including the City of Portola), allows the PNF occasional hiring of BPFPD apparatus and crews, and details cost sharing of the Grizzly Fire Station for continued occupancy of the USFS fire engine, crew and Battalion Chief. PNF Fire Chief Marty Senter will attend to review the agreement and answer questions.  The reason for the Special Meeting is the agreement must be submitted to the USFS Region Office by August 1, 2025.  The next Board meeting is not until August 6, 2025
